| Community Service Projects
 Would
you like to make a positive difference in the lives of others?
Participate in community service in the U.S. or abroad. Open up your
heart and mind to different people and different cultures. Most
programs are for ages 14-18.
Teamwork, cooperative living and communication are
the keys to a successful experience. You will be living in community
buildings and many of these programs include a home stay where you
reside with a local family for part of the time.
Depending upon the location, daily recreational
activities may include swimming, snorkeling, hiking, white water
rafting, travel and relaxation!

- Working in collaboration with local,
national and international service organizations
- Assisting in the construction of a
health clinic, a schoolhouse, a library, a playground
- Teaching underprivileged children

- Working with the elderly
- Red Cross
- Conservation
- Environmentally focused work
- Internships with local farmers,
artisans, businesses, health workers

Some programs include foreign language immersion
or language exposure.
